Description Technical Specs

The Busch® Round Burs – Fig. 1 – 8.00 mm (ISO #080) deliver exceptional precision and high performance for even the most demanding jewelry and metalworking applications. Crafted from premium tungsten vanadium steel, these burs are engineered for your workshop’s toughest jobs—offering outstanding strength, edge retention, and wear resistance.

Each bur features precision‑machined cutting teeth that ensure smooth, accurate, and controlled material removal. The round (Fig. 1) profile provides flexibility in complex geometries and recessed areas, making these burs ideal for detailed engraving, shaping, deburring, stone setting, and surface texturing. These burs perform reliably across precious and non-ferrous metals such as gold, silver, platinum, brass, and copper.

Measuring approximately 1‑3/4" in length and fitted with a 3/32" (2.35 mm) shank, they are fully compatible with most standard rotary tools, including Dremels, flex shafts, and micromotors. The well-balanced design also helps reduce vibration and user fatigue during extended use.

To achieve superior performance and extend the life of your burs, it is recommended to use a cutting lubricant such as Busch Lube‑Stik—this reduces friction, minimizes heat buildup, and helps protect the cutting edges. Each pack includes 6 high‑precision burs, proudly manufactured in Germany under stringent quality controls, ensuring uniform sharpness and durability.
